Journey overview

Shanghai at your family's pace—with everything sorted

Six days built for a family, blending Shanghai's iconic sights with quieter cultural corners—and taking transport, halal food and planning off your plate entirely.

From a comfortable, Muslim-friendly hotel base, we trace the city's best: the Bund waterfront, Yu Garden and the Old City, the modern towers of Lujiazui, the tree-lined lanes of the former French Concession, and a day out at the thousand-year-old canals of Zhujiajiao Water Town. Along the way you'll visit two of Shanghai's historic mosques and, on a free day, the children can enjoy Shanghai Disneyland while the grown-ups explore.

Your English-speaking guide handles the tickets and the timing, your private van carries the whole family together, and halal dining is recommended at every stop—so your days flex around energy levels, prayer times and the little ones, never a fixed coach schedule.

Disneyland for the children, old lanes for the grown-ups

The children can spend a magical day at Shanghai Disneyland while the rest of the family discovers a quieter side of the city—the tree-lined former French Concession, Wukang Road and Anfu Road.

We call in at the historic Xiaotaoyuan Mosque, one of Shanghai's oldest, then wander the artisan alleyways of Tianzifang for handicrafts, tea and small treasures.

03Day · Zhujiajiao

A day at Zhujiajiao Water Town

Friday is the ideal day to visit—ahead of the weekend crowds—as we head out to Zhujiajiao, one of China's best-preserved water towns of ancient canals, arched stone bridges and centuries-old streets.

We explore the classical Kezhi Garden, take an optional boat ride through the canals, break for a recommended halal lunch, and leave free time for the old streets before an easy return to Shanghai.
